My Story
My background is in contemporary art achieving a Masters Degree in painting and subsequently a career in the commercial art world. During this time, my garden became a restorative sanctuary to de-stress and reconnect with nature but also a creative outlet to experiment and engage with my passion for plants and gardening.
I discovered the fundamental principles of art and design are profoundly linked. Perspective, form, colour, structure, space and proportion are all essential to understanding and creating a well designed space that achieves balance and harmony. These qualities are integral to my approach in garden design and I draw on this everyday.
Since obtaining a Diploma in Garden Design at the KLC School of Design in London life has been busy working on a range of projects with respected studios, award winning designers and horticultural business's. I pursue experience and knowledge whilst my primary endeavour is building my own practice here of which my aim is to create inspiring, rejuvenating and sustainable spaces tailored to the people who use them.
